The International Centre for Indoor Environment and Energy, Technical University of Denmark

The lecture will address human response to thermal and air quality conditions indoors, including the fundamental mechanisms determining human heat loss and how the heat loss affects the perception of the thermal environment, for the body as a whole and for local asymmetry phenomena. Also, factors affecting human perception of air quality will be presented.

The lecture will consist of three parts: Fundamental knowledge; Design and assessment of indoor environments and an overview of recent research trends and findings. The lecture will include presentation by the lecturer supplemented by demonstrations of typical indoor climate measurements.
